I create gardens that combine distinctive design elements with dynamic planting to create beautiful spaces that are sympathetic to their surrounding environment. My garden designs reflect each individual client’s need for practical function that is balanced with their own personal sense of style and taste.
In addition to garden and landscape design services, I also offer project management, consultation/advice and a planting/maintenance guide.
Initial Consultation
We will have an initial meeting at a convenient time to discuss your needs, preferences, tastes, colour schemes, lifestyle requirements and aspirations. I will assess the site in its current state and have an in depth discussion with regards to all the above issues. This will determine the design approach and is an important information gathering exercise.
Site Analysis
A full site analysis will be completed which is fundamental to the design process and will enable me to determine all elements that impact the site. This assists me with the functional aspects of the design and is the basis from which the creative inspiration will develop. A site survey may be required and any existing site plans should be submitted for referral.
Concept Design
2D concept designs with optional 3D garden renders are presented, and are based on information gathered from your initial consultation, a site analysis and any extra site visits required.
This detailed, scaled plan shows the layout including all major structural elements including paving, paths, garden bed areas, living areas, lawn, major plants and hedging, pool, water features, tennis court and all other structural elements within the garden. This also includes a plant palette list and planting recommendations, although individual plants are not defined at this stage.
The concept design is then left with you for consideration, and can be fine-tuned and altered prior to the plant and materials list being finalised. This plan can be submitted for quoting & further detailing can be supplied if required.
